The older I get, the more complex life becomes. The more complex life becomes, the greater the weariness of soul. The greater the weariness of soul, the more I think we cannot go on this way. The more we go on this way, the less I see of the original redemption story. The less I see of the original redemption story, the more I believe we need to repent. (but we won't, as there is too much of ourselves invested in this misdirected mystery tour). Today is a bad day, where the distance traveled creates a growing sense of discontent. The growing sense of discontent creates a deadening of our senses. The deadening of the senses is caused by their satiation through immediate gratification. I begin to think that the distance traveled is just not worth the effort. This new place looks familiar, the same barren earth with a few changes of plant-life here and there. Nothing has really changed, only our disorientation has grown, our malignant sense of dis-ease increases along with our impotence. Where do we look for an answer to all of this? Where do we look beyond ideology and sensationalism to engage with society and change the course of 'progress'. My voice is hoarse with crying out to God for an answer beyond trite sound bites of spiritual wisdom, or glib superficial answers to life's deepest questions. I'm tired of this. I do not wish to conform to decay, to the corruption of redemption's story. I'm tired of feeling alone...
