Just an FYI
I’m passionate about poetry, the written word and the sound of it. It’s one thing that gives me that feeling like I could forget everything else. These recordings are done on my Mac using GarageBand. The tracks are just stuff I’ve clipped from my iTunes library. The poems are pulled from my own personal archive. Some are as old as ten years, some I’ve just written. None of them were originally written to be MC’d, or for music in any way. I simply throw on a beat and trawl through, poem after poem seeing if anything would work with music. Sometimes I find something, which I’ll then record and throw up on Upptäcka Network.
The only person who really knows anything about my musical background is DJ EKG, who I used to be in a hip-hop group with. We rocked the Casbah back in the day, and I haven’t really done anything musical since then. But EKG has been working with some of his keyboard pieces which I would liken to Eluvium or Sigur Ros.
