More on the spiritual aspect of Night Terrors
In my own mind and from my own personal experience, night terrors are solely spiritual– as I stated before, they’re not because you’re mommy didn’t buy you that bike that one Christmas, and certainly not because your Dad had them and it just runs in the family. (Though there may be some merit to the idea of parents passing down, err, issues. I won’t go there) But I believe that one obvious observation one can make is that they almost exclusively happen to children. Like I said, I had them between about 10 and 16, which is a vulnerable point in life for anyone, and children are simply more vulnerable. Thinking back, actually, night-terrors are not the only type of spiritual experience I had when that age– I also remember general overwhelming senses of fear during the night which would keep me awake for hours, as well as a time where I could have sworn that something grabbed my foot. Laugh if you must, but when you’re that age and that vulnerable it’s anything but funny.

In short, kids are an easy target for anyone, even spirits.

A little encouragement
I’ve had my share of significant spiritual encounters– mainly of the darker sort, and I have come to assume that most of them can simply be ‘cured’ with prayer & fasting, or some might say prayer & Casting– pick your fancy, but I’ve learned to rebuke that shit, and it works, every time. Without wanting to sounds like some self-help podcast, if you have night terrors, or any other sort of recurring spiritual bugaboo, be encouraged and enlightened that you don’t have to live with it. God doesn’t want it for you, you don’t want it for you, so what the heck? If you’re not a Christian don’t go speaking to demons and telling them to do things, because in yourself, you don’t have authority over them. They won’t listen to you. You need a buddy who DOES have authority over them. I know a dude named Jesus and He’s the only one who’s their boss. So meet Jesus or grab a Christian and rebuke that ass. It will work. But for God’s sake don’t just jump in ill-prepared– it can be as bad as bringing a knife to a gun-fight. Just don’t do it.
